A new Patron for the Friends'
Friends of Stratford Hospital funded the conversion of a storeroom into an extra physiotherapy treatment room, enhancing patient privacy and increasing capacity.
The Optomed Aurora scanner device funded by the Friends' has proven especially helpful in clinics serving vulnerable adults and allows the team of specialist staff to diagnose patient conditions more easily in the eye clinic.
The garden outside of the Nicol Ward, which originally opened in the mid 2000's, was in need of a refurbishment. Did you know.......The Princess Royal officially opened the new building at Stratford Hospital in 2018.
The state-of-the-art hospital building on Arden Street welcomed it's first patients in 2017, and was later officially opened by Princess Anne on Tuesday September 25th, 2018. After being given a tour of the £22million hospital, and after she officially unvieled the wall plaque, the Princess Royal met staff, patients and fund-raisers who helped surpass the campaign's £1million target to provide special chemotherapy chairs and other comforts for those using the hospital.
