Enhancing Patient Care: Extra Treatment Room for the Physiotherapy Department
At Friends of Stratford Hospital, we are proud to share one of our recent projects that directly impacts the quality of care and experience for patients at the hospital. We funded the transformation of a former storeroom into an additional treatment room for the Physiotherapy Department, significantly improving the hospital’s capacity and enhancing patient privacy.
Before the transformation, physiotherapy patients were treated in curtained cubicles, which, while functional, didn’t provide the level of privacy or comfort that patients deserve. By converting the underutilised storeroom into a fully functional treatment space, we’ve created a dedicated room where patients can receive physiotherapy in a more private and comfortable environment.
The work was carried out by Mark O’Loughlin, the South Warwickshire Foundation Trust Clinical Services (SWFTCS) Maintenance Supervisor, who handled the renovation process in-house. Thanks to Mark’s expertise and the Friends' funding, we were able to keep the costs low while ensuring high-quality results.
This new treatment room will allow the Physiotherapy Department to accommodate a greater number of patients, ensuring that more individuals can receive the care they need in a timely manner. It is an excellent example of how our charity works closely with hospital staff to make meaningful improvements that directly benefit patients.
Below, you can see the before and after photographs of the transformation. We are thrilled with the outcome and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on patient care at Stratford Hospital.
Thank you for your continued support, which makes projects like this possible. Together, we are helping to make a real difference in our community.
